FAQ
-
What kinds of services do you offer?
I provide animal massage, Reiki, essential-oil support, nutrition guidance, adventure walks, and decompression walks. Each session is personalized to your pet’s needs, blending evidence-informed practice with a holistic, heart-centered approach.
-
Do you only work with dogs?
Dogs are my primary focus, especially for services like walks. However, I also work with other animals through massage, Reiki, essential oils, and energy practices. And yes — if you’d like to book a special walk or enrichment outing for another companion animal (like goats, for example!), let’s talk about tailoring a session to their needs.
-
What is the difference between an adventure walk and a decompression walk?
A decompression walk is slow and calming — it allows your dog to move at their own pace, sniff, explore, and release stress in a relaxed way. An adventure walk is more active and stimulating, often on trails or in natural spaces, giving your dog a chance to exercise, build confidence, and enjoy new environments. Both walks support your dog’s well-being, but decompression walks focus on relaxation, while adventure walks focus on exploration and energy.
-
What is the Healy device, and how it is used?
Healy® is a frequency-based wellness tool I include as a complimentary enhancement in sessions. It gently supports energetic balance and relaxation, but is not a medical or diagnostic device.
-
How do you use essential oils with pets?
I use only doTERRA® essential oils because of their CPTG® (Certified Pure Tested Grade™) standard, which ensures every oil is rigorously tested for purity and quality. Oils are always introduced safely — diluted to pet-appropriate levels and offered for the animal to engage with by choice. Their role is to gently support relaxation, emotional balance, and overall well-being, never to replace veterinary care.
-
Can I use my own essential oils in a session?
Yes — if you already use essential oils at home, I’m happy to work with them. Please know that using your own oils may change how I approach the treatment plan, since quality, purity, and safety can vary widely between brands. In my practice, I prefer doTERRA® oils because of their CPTG® (Certified Pure Tested Grade™) standard, which ensures consistency and safety for animals. If you bring your own oils, I’ll review them with you and adjust the session plan to keep your pet safe and supported.
-
Do you come to my home, or do I bring my pet to you?
Currently, I offer services in the Longmont area and nearby communities, with sessions typically held in the pet’s familiar home environment for their comfort. Travel beyond the core area may include a small fee travel fee.
-
How do I book a session?
You can schedule through my online booking system on this site. After booking, you’ll receive a link to complete an intake form so I can best understand your pet’s history and needs.
-
How many sessions will my pet need?
Every animal is unique. Some pets benefit from one or two sessions for relaxation, while others do best with ongoing care for mobility or stress support. We’ll discuss your pet’s needs and create a plan that feels right for both of you.
-
Can my pet still receive a session if they're sick or injured?
If your pet has an acute illness, fever, or new injury, please consult your veterinarian first. My services are complementary and supportive but not a substitute for medical treatment.
-
Do I need to be present during the session?
Yes — I ask guardians to be present, especially for first sessions. Your presence helps your pet feel safe and supported. For energy work, you can sit nearby or simply observe quietly.
-
How should I prepare my pet for a session?
Please make sure your pet has had a chance to go potty and has a quiet, comfortable space available. For massage or Reiki, a familiar blanket or bed is ideal. Sessions are most effective when your pet is relaxed and not right after a big meal.
-
Do you need my pet’s medical history?
Yes — when you book, you’ll complete an intake form covering your pet’s health, medications, and history. This helps me tailor sessions safely and effectively.
-
How do I pay for a session?
For convenience, all sessions can be booked and paid online through my Acuity scheduling system using a secure card checkout. This reserves your spot and keeps everything simple. If needed, I can also accept Venmo or cash at the time of service. Checks are discouraged and may not always be accepted.
-
Do you offer packages or discounts?
At this time, I don’t offer packages or discounts — my focus is on giving each session the highest quality of care. As my schedule fills and client needs grow, I may add multi-session packages in the future.
-
What is your booking & cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a session fee. [Read full policy here →]
