Why Holistic Pets?
Little Wolf Holistic Pets offers canine massage, Reiki, essential-oil support, nutrition guidance, and decompression walks in Longmont and nearby communities. Our care blends evidence-informed practice with an earth-honoring perspective—quiet, respectful, and always consent-based.
We believe dogs are family and teachers. Our mission is to reduce pain and stress, support mobility and resilience, and help guardians feel confident caring for their companions. “Little Wolf” is our name and our north star—rooted in ancestral wisdom (Gaelic Faolán, pronounced “FWAY-lawn”) and a deep respect for Colorado’s land and animals..
I’m a Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) based in Boulder County, serving Longmont and surrounding areas. For 20+ years I’ve worked in veterinary care and client education. Little Wolf Holistic Pets is where my clinical background meets a holistic, heart-centered approach to animal wellness—honoring both science and spirit.
Credentials: RVT • CCMT (Certified Canine Massage Therapist) • CPCN (Certified Professional Canine Nutrition) • Usui Reiki Master • AASC (animal aromatherapy training; advanced certification in progress).
Where I come from
“Little Wolf” has been my guiding name for years; the Gaelic Faolán (pronounced FWAY-lawn) reminds me to honor the land, our ancestors, and each animal’s wisdom. I’m grounded in evidence and open to energy - honoring both science and spirit—Western veterinary wisdom in partnership with Eastern-influenced.
Why I do this
I’ve seen how stress, pain, and fast-paced routines affect our animals. My goal is to create calm, choice-based sessions that ease tension, support mobility, and strengthen the bond between you and your pet—in collaboration with your veterinarian. I share practical, doable tips so care continues at home.
How I help
Canine massage therapy (comfort, mobility, recovery)
Reiki (hands-off or light touch, always consent-based)
Essential-oil guidance (species-appropriate)
Nutrition support (CPCN-certified) for raw/whole-food curious guardians
Decompression walks that support mental health, not just steps
Services **complement—never replace—** veterinary care. Mobile visits in Longmont; out-of-area surcharge may apply.

Why Massage
Massage supports comfort, mobility, relaxation, and stimulates healthy blood flow. It’s non-medical, supportive wellness tailored to your dog’s health history and meds.
Helps with: tension/stiffness, circulation, post-activity recovery, nervous-system downshift, senior support.
Session: consent-based (your dog can move/opt out), quiet setup, gentle techniques, 30–60 min.
We pause/modify for: fever/acute injury, new lameness, contagious illness; post-surgery timing per your vet; special conditions.
Why Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, consent-based energy practice that helps many dogs shift from “fight/flight” into rest/digest. Sessions can be hands-off or light touch, making it a good fit for sensitive, anxious, post-procedure, or senior dogs. Your dog leads—They can approach, move away, change positions, or take breaks anytime. Reiki is non-medical, supportive wellness and doesn’t replace veterinary care; it complements what you already do. Typical sessions run 20–45 minutes (shorter for first-timers or very sensitive pups).
When your dog welcomes it, Reiki pairs beautifully with massage—often we start with a few minutes of Reiki to settle the nervous system, then layer in gentle massage, and switch back if your dog asks for more stillness.
Why Essential Oils (and why doTERRA)
I use essential oils as non-medical, supportive wellness—a gentle tool alongside massage and Reiki, never a replacement for veterinary care. I prefer doTERRA for clear labeling and consistent quality, which matters for pets on medications. We start with aromatic diffusion or light topical use at very low, species-appropriate dilutions; internal use is considered only when warranted and only with products labeled for internal use. Before any session, we review your dog’s full medical history and medications because some oils can interact with drugs or conditions. I patch-test first, watch your dog’s consent/body language, and adjust or stop if anything looks off. If you already have a brand you like, bring it—I’ll check the label and choose the safest option.
Optional: [Shop doTERRA via my link]—completely optional.
Why Dog Walks (Decompression & Enrichment)
Movement is medicine—but not just “more steps.” I offer decompression walks that prioritize sniffing, choice, and a calm pace to support nervous-system regulation, confidence, mobility, and better rest at home. Walks are on-leash by default in your neighborhood or a nearby park; off-leash is available only where lawful and when your dog is ready, with your written authorization. Safety comes first: appropriate harness/collar, visible ID, waste bags, and weather-aware planning (heat/cold/smoke adjustments). Sessions are consent-based—your dog can explore, pause, or take breaks—and I avoid forced dog-to-dog greetings. Field trips/transport are available with your approval.
