Why Essential Oils — and Why doTERRA

I use essential oils as non-medical, supportive wellness — a gentle tool used alongside massage and Reiki, never a replacement for veterinary care. Every application is species-appropriate, consent-based, and tailored to your animal's individual health history and current care plan.

I prefer doTERRA for their consistent quality, transparent labeling, and unadulterated purity — all of which matter deeply when working with animals on medications or with sensitivities. What doTERRA says is in the bottle is exactly what's in the bottle — no fillers, no synthetic extenders, no unknown additives to reduce cost or enhance scent. That purity is also why doTERRA can appear more expensive than other brands. With essential oils, you truly get what you pay for — and with animals, that integrity isn't optional.

I start with aromatic diffusion or light topical use at very low, species-appropriate dilutions. Internal use is considered only when specifically warranted and only with products labeled for internal use.

Before any session involving essential oils, I review your animal's full health history and current medications — some oils can interact with drugs or existing conditions. I patch-test first, watch closely for consent and comfort signals, and adjust or stop immediately if anything looks off.

Already have a brand you love? Bring it — I'll review the label and together we'll choose the safest, most appropriate option for your animal.
