Senior Pet, Hospice & Quality-of-Life Support
In-home visit · 60 minutes · $110
As our animal companions age or live with serious illness, their needs can change. You don’t have to navigate those changes alone. I offer compassionate, practical support for your pet’s everyday comfort and for the people who love them, whether you’re adapting to senior life, supporting a veterinarian’s hospice plan, or preparing for difficult decisions.
Drawing on my veterinary technician experience, I help families talk through what they’re noticing, make sense of daily routines, and prepare questions for their veterinarian. There is room for uncertainty, grief, and each family member’s perspective. Our time together honors the bond you share with your animal.
What the visit includes
A conversation about your pet’s daily routines, comfort, mobility, changing needs, and your family’s concerns.
A quality-of-life questionnaire to help everyone develop a shared understanding and track changes over time.
Practical home-comfort and caregiving considerations, plus questions to bring to your veterinarian.
Space to discuss caregiver needs, worries, and support.
Resources as needed, including veterinary hospice, in-home euthanasia providers serving your area, and pet-loss support.
A brief follow-up email with a summary and relevant resources.
My role and your veterinarian’s role
I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician, not a veterinarian. I do not diagnose, provide medical prognoses, prescribe medications, or perform surgery. This visit provides complementary support and education. Medical hospice care, treatment, and pain management are directed by your veterinarian. Quality-of-life tools support observation and discussion; they do not replace a veterinary examination or determine an end-of-life decision on their own.
A $20 out-of-area surcharge applies.
