Why Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, consent-based energy practice that helps animals shift from "fight or flight" into rest and digest. Sessions can be hands-off or light touch — making it a beautiful fit for sensitive, anxious, post-procedure, or senior animals of any species.

Your animal leads completely. They can approach, move away, change positions, or take breaks at any time — their comfort and consent guide the entire session. Reiki is non-medical, supportive wellness that complements — never replaces — veterinary care.

Sessions typically run 45 minutes, though first-timers or very sensitive animals may benefit from a shorter initial session. When your animal welcomes it, Reiki pairs beautifully with massage — I often begin with a few minutes of Reiki to settle the nervous system, layer in gentle massage as the body relaxes, and return to stillness whenever your animal asks for it.
